I was once again approached by The Embassy VFX to help develop a look for a continuation of a creature the studio had created for a previous commercial for Flonase. The story this time was one of appeasement, hence the medication acting as a therapist between the victim and her allergies.

The initial passes focusing on the general look of the creature. With a basic model provided by the commercial director I did extensive paint overs to enhance the fanciful nature of the design. The director and The Embassy wanted something that could lay down in a field and disappear (with the exception of the giant flower head).
Tighter detail is explored here as well as a requirements for the animation team with a focus on the neck to further emphasize the inhuman nature of the creature while providing some anthropomorphic form. This design was highly iterative.
The final design. The VFX team would make final adjustments to meet the client and director’s needs for performance.
