VOLKSWAGEN “Electric Feels Good”
I was approached by The Embassy VFX to design an expressive robot that would be used to replace a live-action performance for a commercial showcasing the new Volkswagon Electric Bus. The final VFX work was produced by the talented artists at Haymaker VFX.

FLONASE “Save Your Relationship With Nature”
I was once again approached by The Embassy VFX to help develop a look for a continuation of a creature the studio had created for a previous commercial for Flonase. The story this time was one of appeasement between the victim and her allergies, hence the medication acting as a therapist.

ZEVO “Bugs Hate Us”
The Embassy VFX asked me to come up with some semi-realistic fly faces for the commercial to convey their mischievous natures.

TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES “Now Showing”
I was asked by commercial studio xo/Exopolis to help out in a rebranding for Turner Classic Movies. They were creating a new bumper that reflected the film noir mood that the studio specialized in curating. They specifically asked me to produce textures for a 3D environment that was reminiscent of the work of American painter Edward Hopper (a personal favorite of mine).
Exopolis sent me unwrapped 3D model geometry and I used a mixture of digital painting software ArtRage and Adobe Photoshop to create a dirty and tangible-looking oil texture, that was then reapplied to the 3D models by the studio and animated.

TOYOTA TACOMA “Nessie”
Method’s producer contacted me to provide a very quick turn-around on a Loch Ness monster design to show the director who was already filming on location in Scotland. This still remains one of my favorite spots to have contributed to because commercials during this period were highly inventive and entertaining micro films.
